Derek dug in his bag and pulled out his child psychology book. It wasn't required for his law degree but he was talking the courses anyway. If he really wanted to help, and he really does, he needed to understand who he was helping.
It was only five minutes. He could wait five minutes, get some reading done and then leave with Cora's clothes.
